National Parke of Santa Teresa

...Finally remembered when the enterprising archaeologist

Horacio Arredondo together with the general and architect

Alfredo Baldomir - proposes to the government the restoration of the fortress. The project included : the declaration of National Monument (promulgated in 1927 as National Park to the fiscal area that surrounds it), his conservation …in fact

The forestation of the area must be providing with trees, in order to cover the dunes and stop his advance. In addition, the preservation of the typical clusters of palms and the indigenous mounts in the shores of the “Laguna Negra” (Black lagoon), together with his flora and fauna, has to be done .a space for exotic species was also considered. The project’s point was a romantic stile garden; admitting English writers and painter’s influence of the XVIII century, who praised the return to the nature. They bear in mind the effects of the light, the chromatic changes at the stations, the topography and the different perspectives.

In 1928 they began the works of restoration.
