Behind this bridge... you can find a museum with a priceless historic exhibition. The finely decorated rooms show a perfect copy of that time in history, with figures of English and Portuguese soldiers in full-dress uniforms ,who lived in these rooms and will take you back in time to relive those exciting moments. In the “Museo Criollo” (Creole museum) of the surroundings , You will also be able to see a stage coach from 1816, a covered-wagon from 1880, a typical hut made of mud and straw, the reproduction of a "pulpería" (name given to the local bars). Interesting is the section devoted to the native. Departing from the base of the Ethnographic collection donated by the Historian and reformer Horacio Arredondo, it appears to the evolution of the image of the native in his confrontation with the colonist and the material aspects of his life. |
